The Strategy
Bullseye worked closely with the Subaru Australia team to develop a website that showcases the world-class
facilities of Subaru Interactive @ Docklands. They include:
- Custom-built Defensive Driver Training Course and All-Wheel Drive Track
- Base for the Subaru Rally Team Australia
- Headquarters for the Australian arm of Subaru Technica International (STi) - Subaru's high performance arm
- 30 bay dedicated Service Centre
- Interactive Room
- 25 seat Cinema
- New and Used Car Sales Centre
The Solution
To provide cost efficiencies Bullseye recommended a solution that used frames to display existing subaru.com.au content, where required.
This had two benefits:
- Content was integrated between the two websites, providing a seamless customer experience
- Content need only be maintained in one location in order to be updated across the two websites
All new content pages were built using the same technology as subaru.com.au (Microsoft Active Server Pages),
and using the existing database (Microsoft SQL Server 2000) and infrastructure (Windows 2000 Server) of the
subaru.com.au website.
In addition to the above, the website has been designed and developed to address the following:
- Improve customer service by providing the capability for customers to Book a Service and Book a Test drive online
- Development of an online searchable database of Used Cars.
- Ability for Subaru to manage content in selected areas of the site.
- Location Maps and provision for customers to contact Subaru Interactive @ Docklands and participating satellite sites online.
