Jim is a leader, savvy businessman, rugby man and a serious wine buff.
He co-founded Bullseye in 2000 and has had years of experience leading companies to success. Before that he was a Managing Partner at both KPMG and Deloitte where he also spent time as Marketing Director. Some of Jim’s proudest moments include helping to bring Vodafone to Australia, creating PowerTel (now part of AAPT), and breaking bread with President Mandela whilst he was restructuring South Africa’s broadcasting industry.
An experienced public company director, Jim still provides strategic advice to many international businesses, regularly writes about business management for global audiences and is a much sought-after keynote speaker. Qualification wise, Jim has a post graduate in Economics and Finance, and is a Fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors, Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Management Consultants and Australian Institute of Management.
Did you know? Many moons ago, Jim spent several years as a radio and TV presenter. Daryl Somers, eat your heart out.
Greg is our Managing Director and a gifted entrepreneur. He founded iFocus in 2000 and, as Managing Director, successfully guided the company on to win many large clients and industry awards – including being recognised as one of BRW’s Fast 100 companies in 2004 and 2005.
And boy, does he know his stuff (he even has an MBA). For over 12 years, Greg has been advising corporate and government clients in the effective use of web technologies. He’s also a highly popular commentator and is regularly asked to speak about business, IT and consumer trends.
Greg’s core skills are in digital strategy, customer experience and solution design. He’s also a co-founder and Director of iCourses Training, an online learning company.
Did you know? Greg was quite a good golfer in his early days (though you wouldn’t think so now), loves a good red and has made it his mission to drink everything in Jim’s cellar.
Jason is our digital marketing guru and philosopher. He has a design degree and over 13 years experience in the interactive industry, both here and in the UK. He co-founded Bullseye Digital and as its MD was responsible for sales, operations and strategy.
Jason has created and executed many highly successful marketing strategies for some of Australia’s top brands. Before Bullseye, Jason led creative teams across Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, as Group Creative Director for internet aggregator ZIVO.
Did you know? Jason has produced a series of children’s interactive storybooks that sold over a million copies worldwide. He’s also into classic motorbikes and cyberpunk fiction – hence the sideburns.
As far as we know, Emily isn’t an actual magician. But in our Sydney office, she manages to get projects delivered on time, makes our clients happy, and keeps the team running like a well-oiled machine. Call it smoke and mirrors, call it whip-cracking with a smile, call what it what you want. It just works :)
Emily has over 8 years experience in client services, project management, and strategic direction in the digital space. She has been instrumental in delivering high-profile multimedia projects – including award-winning websites for Network Ten’s Australian Idol and The Biggest Loser in 2005.
Prior to Bullseye, Emily was an Account Director/Senior producer at @www Digital (in London and Sydney) working on key accounts including Video Ezy, FremantleMedia, Multiplex group, ITV & Paddy Pallin.
We like to think of Martyn as our futurologist because he has over 17 years experience in digital, particularly online learning solutions. And because he’s always telling us where to go (next)!
Martyn is passionate about all things digital and is a strong believer in the power of technology. He knows more than anyone about compliant extensible web implementations, business value and useful stuff like that.
He has worked across a range of technologies and platforms, and for a range of sectors including government, automotive and transport, pharmaceutical, retail and finance.
When he’s not thinking about ways to use technology to change the world, Martyn loves nothing more than hitting the ESC key and taking his family camping or enjoying a cold beer with mates.
With over 9 years experience in project management, consulting and operations in the digital space, we knew Kerry was the right person to make sure things run smoothly in our Melbourne office. She helps us deliver complex web projects for clients on time and within budget.
Prior to Bullseye, Kerry was a consultant with various professional services firms, helping to deliver major online learning projects for clients like Telstra, Australia Post, ANZ Bank and Suncorp-Metway.
Did you know? Kerry is a music aficionado and has an iPod packed with weird and wonderful stuff. And no, there’s not a single Shannon Noll song on there.
Mark, our in-house comedian, has over 20 years experience working with government and corporate clients on perfecting user experiences online.
He’s also a big supporter of the digital industry; he works with the Queensland Government on initiatives that help grow the sector, is a key member of Software Queensland and played a major role in helping start up the Australian Computer Society and Software Queensland’s joint venture of the Class of 07/08.
On weekends, Mark loves four-wheel driving and camping with Codey, his 9 year old son. Mark is also super competitive and said to say he could probably kick your butt in tennis – in any sport really. Ooh... sounds like a challenge.
A natural born leader and people person, Rosemary has over 22 years sales and management experience in the IT and telco industries. She has managed consultancy teams at the Hiser Group, Health Communication Network and Link Telecommunications – working with organisations such as Network Ten, Queensland Rail, Westpac, Johnson & Johnson Medical and the Australian Taxation Office.
Rosemary understands the importance of maintaining strong relationships with clients and staff – that’s how she’s made her mark throughout her career.
Did you know? Rosemary is a self-confessed foodie and enjoys cooking for friends and family. She also loves warm weather – hence why she lives in sunny QLD – though she has been known to cross the border in search of the ultimate Indian or Mexican meal.
Kevin brings a new dimension to the word passion. Prior to joining Bullseye, Kevin was the Head of Digital Advertising for Ai London working on the National Express account.
His work for National Express was so good, the client even used his ideas for their TV campaigns. From 1997 to 2003, he was Creative Director at Grey Worldwide and, before that, worked for various high-profile agencies including Y&R and AKQA.
Kevin is an experienced creative and has worked on many iconic brands such as Ribena, Lee Jeans, Halifax, Virgin.com and VW. He has also won many awards including D&AD, two Creative Circles and top honours in the ‘Dad’s race’ at his children’s Sports Day three years in a row.
Kevin’s passion expresses itself as energy. He is always full of great ideas, loads of enthusiasm and pure energy – probably why he runs marathons for fun.
Pedro provides serious competition to Mark in the funny man stakes – although Pedro is more wicked than funny. He has over 11 years experience dealing with desktop/server applications, IT systems and geeky stuff like that.
In his own words, Pedro has experience in “designing and installing high-end business solutions and applications for professional services firms in business planning, HR profiling, performance review, OH & S, KPI monitoring, quality assurance, and CRM for both the SME and corporate sectors”. Phew.
We don’t really know what all that means but we do know he’s a qualified barista and makes a mean cup of coffee. Pedro is also the best dressed person in our Sydney office. Hands down.
Craig is our resident mad scientist. In his spare time, Craig likes to dream up digital contraptions that sound, well, mad. Like his idea for a GPS-based dating locator service (years before the technology was even available), his pyramid-like navigation system, and a machine that can send letters electronically though copper wires (we believe this one will be called email).
He’s currently looking into “surface” technology and RFID tagging – both of which he believes will revolutionise the way we work.
Craig has over 17 years experience under his belt in IT management, development and consultancy. He has provided IT solutions to government departments and many businesses in the retail, finance, telecommunications, transportation and utilities industries.
Did you know? Craig is a budding pilot and will soon be getting his license. He also has four children and thinks 7-seater automobiles are the best things ever.
James, the leader of our “dev-gang”, lives with his fiancé Tanya in Brisbane. They’re both mad about camping and have a 2yr old dog, Mia, who enjoys digging, running, and escaping through the fence.
When not spending time with his lady or looking for his dog, James comes to work and puts on his Technical Director’s hat. He has been involved in all major technical projects iFocus has delivered and has provided technical advice on countless other consulting projects – the kind of advice you can only get from someone with over 10 years experience in enterprise level web installations.
Over the years, James has worked with companies like Virgin UK, British Telecom, Flight Centre, Queensland Rail, Australian Sports Commission and Zoos Victoria.
So when we need a solution to a technical problem, chances are, James will help us find one. Finding his dog? Well that’s another matter.
Gillian looks after our marketing and joined the company over 7 years ago as a founding member of the iFocus team. For the past 3 years, Gillian has driven iFocus’ marketing and PR strategies, and was instrumental in setting up our current client relationship policies.
Gillian has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing and, before joining us, held senior marketing roles in logistics, fleet management and property companies.
Did you know? Gillian never wants to stop learning. She is currently studying for her post-grad diploma in quantum marketing to intergalactic creatures and for her beginner’s certificate in rural studies (which means she gets to drive a tractor around her farm in Northern NSW). Cool huh?
Steve is a mad trout fisherman and loves the great outdoors. When he’s not screaming down some off-road trail on his mountain bike or up to his waist in a freezing cold river somewhere, Steve helps us deliver cracking marketing campaigns.
He has worked on some of the world’s leading brands both here and abroad. Steve is a forward thinker, knows digital marketing inside out, and loves getting things done on time and within budget.
Did you know? Steve is a pioneer in Australia’s multimedia scene. Back in the day, he founded and managed AIMIA, Australia’s premier multimedia industry body.
Catherine likes to remind us there are 3 types of people in the world: those who are numbers people and those who aren’t (boom boom!)
Luckily for us, Catherine is a really sharp numbers person and she has been our numbers person in some shape or form since we started. She’s our Finance Director but before this, Catherine worked for a number of (pun intended) leading financial companies including Fidelity Investments Canada, the Toronto-Dominion Bank and Deloitte & Touche.
When not dealing with numbers, Catherine enjoys skiing, drinking wine and visiting home (she’s from the land of moose and maple syrup). We love Catherine because she’s really sweet and is always up for a chat. Oh and because, every fortnight, she pays us.
