Drillsearch launches clever investor relations site

Major oil & gas explorer and developer Drillsearch operates in a complicated industry where communicating the value to shareholders is a challenge and expensive. The company wanted to create a leading investor relations site that was engaging and informative and meaningful for its shareholders.

Key features of the new Drillsearch site include:

  • The use of rich media in place of the traditional flat PDF files

  • Industry insight and explanation that was not specific to the company but created engagement with the oil and gas industry

  • A platform that facilitated the transition to on-line shareholder communications and replaced the more expensive paper-based media

The results

  • Bullseye defined clear requirements, and designed relevant, intuitive user interfaces with easy to find and use tools and features including board of director introductions via video.

  • Bullseye reviewed the technical platform and recommended Drupal as a cost-effective but open source technology.

  • Development of the site was carried out using the Agile framework which resulted in minimal technical debt and impact with the client during the development phase.

  • The site went live September 2011.
